Our company was founded in 1959 in Saint John, New Brunswick as a division of J.D. Irving, Limited.
Though we're now one of Atlantic Canada's leading business to business provider in the areas of Apparel & Promotional Products, Commercial Communications, Industrial Supplies, Office Environments, Safety Supplies and Sanitation Equipment & Supplies, we started out much more humbly with a focus on supplying provisions to the shipping industry.
Gradually, we expanded our areas of expertise and opened branch offices to better serve customers across Atlantic Canada.
Along the way, we strengthened our line-up of products and services through strategic acquisitions. In 2002, we purchased R&A Paper Products Ltd, which formed the foundation of our new office in Sydney, Nova Scotia. In 2007, we purchased Enviro Chemicals (Atlantic) Ltd., significantly enhancing the capabilities of our sanitation division. We can now provide our sanitation customers with greater coverage, more expertise and a wider range of products. Finally, in 2011 we acquired Specialty Apparel, in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland. Specialty Apparel brings a unique custom manufacturing aspect to our Apparel & Promotional Products division and expands our range to include all of Atlantic Canada.
